SIG Building Solutions is proud to celebrate the success of Stace Roofing Ltd, whose refurbishment project in collaboration with Step Energy, part of the Stepnell Group, at St Nicholas Leisure Centre has won the Solar Roofing category at the 2026 NFRC UK Roofing Awards.
The award-winning project utilised the Gemello Revive system as part of a major roof refurbishment programme, helping transform the existing roof while supporting the integration of solar technology and extending the life of the building.
Delivered by Stace Roofing Ltd in collaboration with Step Energy, part of the Stepnell Group, the project demonstrated the benefits of refurbishment over replacement, combining performance, sustainability and long-term value in a live leisure environment.
Gemello Revive was selected as part of the refurbishment solution to help improve the roof’s overall performance while minimising disruption to the occupied building below. The completed project now stands as an example of how intelligent roof refurbishment can support both sustainability goals and modern building requirements.
The NFRC UK Roofing Awards celebrate outstanding workmanship and innovation across the roofing industry, recognising projects that demonstrate technical excellence and collaboration across all stages of delivery.
